This class is designed for the beginner quilter. The quilt is named "Five Yard Quilt" because it takes five - one yard cuts of fabric to make the top. In class we will cover rotary cutting, accurate quarter inch sewing, strip and chain piecing, and border application. We will cut and sew the quilt in class with some sewing as homework between classes. The class covers piecing the top only. Quilt size is 52"x68". Pattern included in class.

ZIPPY STRIPPY CLASS - 59" x 74" Intermediate
From the book "Stack-n-Whackipedia" This design is a great choice for beginners. More experienced quilters will find it easy to adapt by varying the number of blocks and the number and width of the setting strips. Consider using a coordinating striped or symmetrical print between the hexagon columns, or set off the pieced blocks with columns of elegant quilting. This is a fun quilt to make because every block is different and you can pick one of four choices for each block!

Instructor: Carol Mason

Thursdays, May 6 and May 13 – 6:00-9:00 PM
