COTTAGE QUILTS CLASS POLICIES

  • Class size: minimum of 4 - Maximum of 10.
  • Shop opens 15 minutes prior to class if the class is held when the shop is not open.
  • Refunds will be given if class does not meet the requirements of 4 students one week prior to class.
  • Refund will be given when you cancel a class with a 7 day notice.
  • Payment due upon enrollment

CLASS LEVELS
 
BEGINNERS - No experience necessary –
  all rotary cutting is done in class with instruction.
INTERMEDIATE - Experienced in the basics. 
  Can rotary cut on own and sew an accurate ¼” seam.
EXPERIENCED -   Class will offer different skills beyond the basics.

 

FIVE YARD QUILT Beginners
This class is designed for the beginner quilter. The quilt is named "Five Yard Quilt" because it takes five - one yard cuts of fabric to make the top. In class we will cover rotary cutting, accurate quarter inch sewing, strip and chain piecing, and border application. We will cut and sew the quilt in class with some sewing as homework between classes. The class covers piecing the top only. Quilt size is 52"x68". Pattern included in class.

OR Tuesdays – March 9, 16, 23 from 6:00-9:00 PM

5 Yard Beginning Quilt Class

BEGINNING PAPER PIECING Beginners
Learn the basic technique of paper piecing with a pattern from MH Designs. We will be making a very cute wall hanging that should be hanging in every quilter's sewing room called "My Favorite Things". Come to class with your fabrics and start learning the tricks and secrets of paper piecing.

Paper Piecing Class

PROFESSIONAL TOTE Intermediate
This professional tote has all the pockets and compartments needed for today's "professional" woman. Whether you work in an office or not, this tote has it all. Sue Ward has made dozens of these totes, plus the sample in the shop. She will walk you through the steps, plus pass on some tricks she has learned.
